# Thalam

> Thalam is the OpenAI-compatible API for every leading AI model — GPT, Claude, Gemini, DeepSeek, Qwen, Kling, Sora and more — through one endpoint, one API key, and one bill. Pay per token, no subscription, no minimums, no lock-in.

Thalam is an AI gateway headquartered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It gives developers and engineering teams a single OpenAI-compatible endpoint (`https://api.thalam.ai/v1`) for text, image, video, and audio models across every major provider. Migration is two lines of code: change the `base_url` and the `api_key` — every OpenAI SDK, LangChain, LlamaIndex, and standard REST client works unchanged. New accounts get $1 of free starter credit. Governance features include per-key spend caps and audit logs.
